?

you're dropping the ss/sc and moving to a 2.4 or 2.2 that you plan on boosting. you'll end up back where you're at just shy of a few horses after all's said and done. now if your ss/sc is modded you'll be slower but it won't be by that damned much.

all models come stick.

No I havent bought the SS yet my mom has been bitching about how its to fast so I was wondering how fast a 2.2 would be if I turbo'd it. she would think its slow but I would install the turbo, its not worth it though I am looking into it not seems so unworth it

oh, your sig is deceiving. it's really gonna be up to you. i'd say 2.2 5spd as there seems to be more mods and the 07 models get ls2edit tuning. any 2.2 pre-08 can be tuned with trifecta so that's still a plus and the tune's worth it, i should know. 2.4 gets mods and hptuners as well as turbo and there are some blown 2.4s lurking the board.

all in all you miss out on speed once modded but you will not get the track tuned ss/sc suspension.

the SS/SC is fast, but its not THAT fast.. yeah its faster than a 2.2 or 2.4 will ever be without nitrous or f/i but its not like its running 13s or 12s bone stock.. does she know you're going to be modding the car? if so you could tell her it would be more logical to just get the SS/SC because if you get the 2.2 you'll be doing $3k + worth of mods to it w/ a turbo kit, and by then you'd have been better off with an SS/SC.

play the logic card as "teh punk" said. but i mean its going to be your car why does your mom's opinion matter in this case its not like she is footing the bill.

17800?? Don't buy brand new... and don't ever EVER pay sticker price. You can pick up a lightly used SS/SC for less than a brand new 2.2

stock....yeah it is I just returned mine back to stock yesterday and i drove it once. Then i traded my dad til i get my truck tonight or tomorrow because i couldn't bare to drive it anymore in that sad form (so instead of driving my slow ass stock 2.2 where power drops off at 4k rpm stock, i am driving my old 01 civic ex).

to OP: If you get a 2.2, get full exhaust and CAI right away. That will open it up so its bearable, unless your going f/i.

I'd go with the 2.4L over the 2.2L... 2.4L has more potential because it has higher out-put. Mkulrey13's 2.2L turbo'd sedan is impressive no doubt, but turbo a 2.4L and mod that and I guarantee that you'll get more HP....

But that's if you want to put the money into it to get it there.... I know the SS/SC is not really an option for you, but best bang for buck is buying the SS/SC and modding that...

It has the FE3 while the SS/SC/TC has the FE5.
