Yea but I don't really like the way the ION is grant it it is the cobalt but it looks different and I just cant like it for some reason, I mean if I have to I will but.....

ok cams, you got me. intake manifold is the one off of the 2.4 so...ok ill give it to you if you want. they both are able to use the hahn manifold by the way with some modification; although that is more suited towards f/i but will still give gains NA.
a fully bolted 2.2 vs a fully bolted 2.4, the 2.4 will win everytime. take a look at the dyno thread, the highest 2.4hp without nitrous or forced induction is 186whp 177wtq fully bolted and tuned. the highest 2.2 non f/i or nitrous is 154whp 157wtq fully bolted and tuned minus the intake manifold, which wont yield 32 more anyways.

look at the 1/4mile thread, the fastest non f/i or nitrous 2.2 is 15.18. the fastest 2.4 non f/i or nitrous is 14.91. the 2.2 was also on slicks.

with cams i dont know what it will run, it will probably be somewhere around 180-190hp would be my guess. but still, all the 2.2 guys complain about tuning and we...well kinda have it, but maybe 20 people have gotten tuned if that. all the 2.4 guys complain about cams but how many would really do it? there is maybe 10 2.2's cammed and its probably more like 4-5.

i completely agree with you. i have a 2.2 (TRUE MODS listed in vbgarage) n i still wish i had a full bolted tuned 2.4 with maybe a 50 wet shot
haha yea too much money in a 2.2 i havent ran it yet. havent had a chance cuz work n no chance to dyno either. cant wait for both. im hoping for mid to high-mid 14s with n2o (IF i run it im hoping for low 13s)
u dont make sense... u want a high HP car but dont want the SS... ur going to have a much less reliable car and spend more money going F/I on a NA cobalt. u really should research ur options. and read ur own thread. we told u in the first few posts that all models were available in stick. read this forum for a week and then post a thread asking about different models and such.
if you want that type of power you either need the ss/sc right off the bat or a 2.4. either way you'll be doing some seriuos modding to get 275whp on a reliable platform. **** it start looking at used evo 8's. you can tell your mom their safe cause they got awd.

it will take more than just "throwing a supercharger or turbo on it." it is feasable with alot of work though. and for 275+ you should aim for the turbo rather than a m62.

just trifecta tune which i am data-logging now for remote tune. i will be strapping it on the dyno when i get back from vegas end of the month (leaving in a week n work too much) and running it mid-sept because its the only time i can get another person there for video purposes. i wont go thru it again of stating a time (having slip) w/o video proof. the whole 15.73 stock with my gf, system and a few things left over from camping that weekend (extra 100lbs plus 105lb gf so 200 total extra)... total flamage upon me then i had video proof another time of a 15.51 with wider tires and intake (system still was in the car then) n by that time there was a stock 15.60.... but anyways to aviod any doubts i do things the easy way for me
yes i would love to see 13s but highly doubt it. it MAY be close to 200whp. i wanted 11.0:1 c/r pistons and .020 bore which woulda prob hit 13s if not the stage 3 cam woulda put me at a 13.99 (i woulda done everything, except spray, to get there if it didnt)
