Well, its about that time of year to get one final meet in before the colder months set it. Last year we held a meet late August in Dulles, and turned out to be one of the most succesful meets to date. I'm hoping to beat last year's record and go above and beyond with this one.

What: Offical Fall 2008 VA Meet. The final big VA Cobalt get-together before the cold winter months set it and hinder us from having an outdoor meet. Everyone needs to make it out to this one!

When: September 13th (Sat) from 1pm until whenever.

Where: The meet will begin at Apple Blossom Mall in Winchester VA. Arrival time is set for 1pm. We will hang out there for a while until everyone arrives. Everyone, try to make it to the mall by at least 2pm. If need be, we can wait until 2:30pm at the latest. We will then head over to Olive Garden (also in Winchester) for food. Im doubting a reservation will be available for a party our size, but it shouldn't be busy at 2:30 in the afternoon, so im not gonna sweat it. And and always, a cruise and photoshoot will be in order, either before or after we eat....whichever is more conveinient for everyone.

As far as a time frame goes, im thinking somewhere between late August to mid September. The closer we get to October, likely the colder it will get, so we should act quickly and get something going asap.

straight trade for an 07 black ss/sc, leather heated seats instead of the recaros, got it about 2 weeks ago, just put in a stage 2 with 2.9" pulley, had to add an armrest and port the supercharger (and close the silencer holes). I am really trying not to go crazy with the mods on this car, going to remove the wing I think, get some projectors, a cat back, smoke the tailights and get a dual pass HE and I am done.

Anyway I am definetly lookin forward to meeting some other cobalt owners, always get the best tips from fellow enthusiasts.

Good luck hitting 13's with bolt ons. I bet my car, even if it was tuned, with my intake, full exhaust (cat-less), torque damper and poly trans mount bushings would have trouble doing a 14.5.

Eh, too hard and too much work. The things that would come off would be the strut bar, sway bar, torque damper, tinted tails, shorty antenna and wheels.

If someone was up for trade + money and wanted to do the wrench time, all the other stuff (rotors, pads, cat-back, header, downpipe, intake, shifter), i'd ditch those parts too.

Faster, more reliable as it will be stock (or modded w/ only Mopar goods) and will have a warranty (unlike my voided warranty ass Cobalt), 4-doors which will be conveinent for carpooing for my job, and this car would only be modified with non-warranty voiding parts. If I got one, i'd pretty much keep it stock. Like I said.......Mopar intake, Mopar cat-back, Mopar strut bar, some 19" Axis Hiros w/ stock 19" rubber.........thats it. Well of course i'd mod it, but very mildly. I just want some wheels and some Mopar bits (intake, cat-back and strut bar). The i'd leave it alone and drive it while retaining a full warranty. No big turbo upgrades, no FMIC upgrades, probally not even springs.

But for now im working on sorting out the Cobalt's issues. Gonna get my front bumper wetsanded soon hopefully, making an appointment to get my ding removed by Dentmasters next month, and eventually gonna get it tuned. Plus, next weekend its getting claybarred, waxed, and my poly trans mount bushings are going in.........so we'll see what I decide to do within the next few months or so.

When I buy a car, the last thing im thinking about is selling it, and how much im gonna get for it when that time comes. I live in the now, not the future. Whatever happens....happens, ya know? Eh, I just like them man. I don't care about reliabity b/c its not gonna be raced and it'll have a 100k mile warranty. But like I said, right now im just working on getting the SS back to showroom perfect condition, and maybe i'll wanna keep it then.
