ive got this guy at work that is talking crap to me. he has a GSR frankenstein Integra (whatever frankenstein is). and he has a piggyback computer system on there. i told him we would only race at the track and thats in April. Do u think he would stand a chance if i have the stage 2 kit with a 2.8 pulley, stage 2 clutch and flywheel, intake, exhaust?

Who would win? please help me out

i dont think he stands a chance anyways...integras are amazingly slow from my experiences around them.

dude...put him in his place. You could still take him stock, go kick his ass

i get the hint he may spray on me. but surely its not mroe than a 75 shot. so i think i still have him. no way hes pushing over 200 w/o nitrous

hes all laughing at me for spending $25,000 on a 200 hp car. i told him i could have a $3,000 integra with $18,000 motor work. but its still a $3,000 car. lol. hes took his back seat out and everything. i told him i would race him with his back seat in my car. I told him i was going to take my rear view mirrors off so i can lose weight and not have to see him

Frankenstein motor is an LS Integra B18 with a VTEC head from the GSR motor. Pretty stout combo actually. I think an SS/SC could definately take it. Well, at least one that isn't mine since the engine broke!

i don't think you will lose, but i don't think you are gonna kill him either. i've known the frankenstein integra's to be pretty stout. let us know what happens, should be real interesting.

My 96' GSR ran 14.9 all day, it could be a drivers race since most SS's run 15 second 1/4 miles. If your a good drive you will win!

im not the best driver. but i think witht he stage kits. theres no way he will beat me unless he sprays

It'll be close. A frankenstein block is actualy a combo of two blocks, thus giving him better torque cause this also could be the bottom end out of a rav4, just dont underestimate him

i raced a guy with a GSR motor in it. here is the video. i dont have a good launch tho. but this was before my tranny mount, pulley, or bushings. http://www.houston-imports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=263566&highlight=cobalt

No, they're not talking about the Celica GT-S race. Also, the GT-S wasn't really "modded out the ass." It had a fuel controller, exhaust, intake and the back seats were removed. The Cobalt that raced the Celica had an intake. Oh yeah, the Celica had just a driver, the Cobalt had a driver + camera dude. That was a good race however.

you can take him even of youre stock. if you have all that other stuff you mentioned then you will kill him! ive raced a civic hatch with a GSR swap, i/h/e, MSD, different plugs and some other stuff. i killed him by about 10-15 cars, it wasnt pretty. i was stock then as well.

B18b is GSR I think. It all comes down on the driver most of the time. Like why can I always beat my friend with an 04 STi from a dig. Because he cannot launch an AWD, and now he thinks my lightly modded SS is a low 13 second car LoL!

ralliartist
02-14-2006, 01:13 AM
it's all up to drivers and tuning. just a gsr isn't going to do much. but a frankenstein is an ls integra with a gsr head and if it has been tuned, it'll make for a tough race. trust me. just make sure you let us know the outcome.

OK stupid fuc, it wasn't one!

Of the 20+ that I have seen go down the 1320 only "3" of them ran in the 14's.

The rest are in the mid to high 15's.

Is this better logic for you?

So what does your's run, I'm guessing mid 14's.

if you cant break into the 14's with your cobalt, TRADE IT IN AND GIVE SOMEONE A CHANCE TO OWN HER THAT KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE! Look at all the times by the better drivers on the site, most post mid 14's, my personal best completely stock is 14.45. Just learn to drive the car man, dont try and rub your 15 second driver mod off on us.

Well before you guys hop all over him check the time slip thread its over on ss.com. The avg is 14.8-15.0 of course there are the few who run higher and lower. But its a fact that all cobalts won't run mid 14's all day long. Other things come into play to like driver and altitude.

OK Stupid Fuck ... did you ever think that because you are in one area you cant take that as what the track average would be everywhere (thats the average for your area) ...you have to look at the average from all locations, not just one track in one location ... mid 14.6 is a better average to use not 15 ...

did you ever think that the times might be high in your area for reasons such as
-elevation
-poor track prep
-the ramped inbreeding that takes place in Wisconsin

yes there are shitty CSS drivers hitting 15 but no its not as common as you would have people beleive and certainly not an average

in conclusion thanks to Wisconsin for bringing up the Css track average ...most cobalt’s driven by drivers not afflicted by down syndrome can manage a mid 14 pass

WOW

I'm guess your a teenager, we're in a car forum and your talking about inbreeding in Wisconsin and poor kids with Downs. Grow up and get a life. So you know I'm not from Wisconsin so I cant speak about this subject, but you might know something about inbreeding since you brought it up, but I won't go their.

Please read these forums and the stuff at the .COM site and you will see that I speak the truth about the 1/4 mile ave. time for the CobaltSS.

The times in my area are on the good side and in favor of all cars.

So what does your car run? Then I can put this into the averages around here, since you didn't answer I'm guessing you have DOWN ASS CLOWN.

im gonna get my words in before this thread gets locked!

I have a friend with a integra GSR with intake, exhaust, header, (no cat), hondata ECU of somesort, new injectors, and is gutted.

before he gutted his car i would beat him by 1 or mabe 2 cars once he gutted it he can now beat me. with all those mods before gutting he ran 14.5(spinning 1st,2nd,chirp 3rd on good tires) now he is probably a low 14 mabe high 13 second car

this guy you going to race has a frankenstein motor... from what i remember this engine setup gives the car more available tq down low right? just take a look in this guys trunk before you race (look for N20, and see if hes gutted) cus if he is your a gonner if not you may win! he'll gain his ground on you when you shift (6.5k rpms <-you, 9k+ rpms <-him) atleast that is how it goes with my friend

:nono: C7015 that is awefully imature of you to be bashing a state just because we may not be as supposed high class as wherever you are from. Sure we have a lot of people running around in pickup trucks (I'm one of them), do a lot of farming and hunting and the state doesn't come accross as the classiest of the Union but so what? Doesn't give you a reason to make comments like that.

This is supposed to be a friendly forum where we share a passion for our cars and for some the car the want to own in the near future (me again), exchange useful information and maybe even make some friends, not insult other people. I'll go to the AutoWeek forum if I want that.

I'll get off my soapbox now.

Not knowing what all else has been done to the GSR it is hard to say what would happen.

usually people that do engine mods such as a frankstien + piggyback computer have done other mods. A frankstien motor isnt a 2 hour mod.

What is the altitude you are racing at? Near sea level I think you will win, if not I think he would. You can definately tell the differences in a FI car at sea level vs 2000+ feet above.

I went to Sky Line Drive VA a while back and it felt like I was pulling an anchor...
