"Ram-Air" Hood Safe With Rain?

Hey guys,

Ok, I may trade a fellow member my stock hood for his ok condition RKSport c/f one. The one with the small lined scoop in the middle that runs air to the passenger side area for a short ram intake. I have a short ram Injen intake with a K&N cone filter on it. I'm just worried about how safe it is directing air and rain directly into the filter. I know the air is perfectly find (and even better) for the intake. But how about for the rain? We get kinda hard rain here.. I just don't want to do something unsafe.. If anything, you can get a rain-sock I guess..

Info? Thanks!

by the way it runs under the hood, the ducting, it should slow the water enough to just drop out and not get much on the filter.
