Leaded Fuel?

Is Leaded fuel ok to use on our cars?

Leaded fuel hasn't been safe (or emissions-legal) for use in most cars for a long time. Its intent is to give a cheap boost to the octane rating, but it pollutes like holy crap.

85 unleaded is the lowest grade that will go in a cobalt, 91 unleaded if you're running the LSJ or LNF.

You'd have a pretty expensive repair bill if you used leaded gas. Even if you could, I don't know where you'd find it anymore (They sell 110 low-lead at airports, but that's for the prop planes).

the lead kills the catalyst substrate


lead hasn't been good for cars since catalytic converters were required in the late 70s, did the OP just come out of a cryogenic chamber or something?
