Badju587 08-22-2008, 08:15 AM Leaded fuel hasn't been safe (or emissions-legal) for use in most cars for a long time. Its intent is to give a cheap boost to the octane rating, but it pollutes like holy crap. 85 unleaded is the lowest grade that will go in a cobalt, 91 unleaded if you're running the LSJ or LNF. You'd have a pretty expensive repair bill if you used leaded gas. Even if you could, I don't know where you'd find it anymore (They sell 110 low-lead at airports, but that's for the prop planes). ls1fbody 08-22-2008, 08:18 AM it's not ok, but just for kicks, where in the hell did you find leaded fuel in california?
