Hi,

It seems lately that when I am stuck in traffic the temperature gets awful high.
I have seen it get as high as 215 and the fan never starts. Is this normal or am I off to the service department? Thanks for any input! It's an 05 SS/SC that's just about to hit 10,000 miles. I have only noticed this since my last oil change.

 

ive got an 06 ss/sc and it kicks in right when it gets to 225.

 

That is normal, it'll kick on around 225 like dstin said. If you kick the a/c on while you're in heavy traffic it'll kick your fan on automatically and your temps will drop right away. Works at the track as well.

 

it wouldn't hurt to question your dealer
