Based on the information here:

http://www.canadiandriver.com/buyers-guide/2008/chevrolet/cobalt.php

I can see that the sedan/coupe weight difference on the LS is 50 pounds, and I expect that weight differential to be the same for the SS/TC. That's really not bad at all.

I wouldn't bet your life on this, but I seem to remember my dealer telling me the Sedan and the Coupe were the same price. I might just be imagining that, though. I tend to do that haha

This is from chevy canada's website
Sedan
LS: 1261 / 2780
LT: 1267 / 2793
SS: TBD

Coupe
LS: 1239 / 2730
LT: 1244 / 2742
SS: 1349 / 2975
A 50 lb increase would be acceptable

Other sites are saying 3216 lbs for the LS/LT cobalt sedan or at least 240 lbs more than the coupe.
That would mean 241 lbs more than the coupe... Unacceptable .
The sticker says 22 city, 30 hwy just like the coupe.
This leads me to think that the weight difference is probably the lesser of the differences.

just went to chevy website, when I did the employee pricing for a coupe & 4 door it came up the same price $23,435. I like to find the weight diff. I think it has to be atleast 100 Lbs, but I'm guessing too.
thanks

But what options are diff. on the ls to lt? if A/C & power windows I say theres a 100 Lbs.

I've got to keep an eye on my dealers. I'm dying to check one out.

As far as the weight goes, I think it'll be negligible. Something like 50-75 lbs. Just a guess.

Main thing is if he doesn't want yellow, that he finds and gets it in the next few days because he has to take delivery by a 9/2

And plus when i talked to my dealer, he said more rebates for the 09s should be out very soon.

Ok, so is there any news on the actual weight of the 09 ss sedan?

pretty sure it is only 50 pounds. The only difference between the two is that instead of having a big ass heavy door the sedan has 4 lighter doors. I think the no rear valence cancels out for having the bigger tail lights. I don't this there is to much a difference in the body make up of the two car. If I have time tomorrow I will get the weight off of the door sticker of my car and see what that comes up with.
