A buddy of mine with HPtuners will upload the 2.4L tune for free but i just need the file. If any of you have a tune file that I can have so I can give to this guy that would be awesome. Im gonna put it on my flash drive and run it over to him and hes gonna just plug it in my OBDII and do it. Thanks

Your car doesn't work like a computer. Your not downloading a flash upgrade from the vender and flashing your motherboard... you need to tune your ECU to your engine, driving style, and environment...

In otherwords, you need a tuner, not a file.

so what is the difference between that and lets say vectors option to have a tune file sent to me for a smaller price than the ECM itself

even if someone sends you a file to base the tune off of do not just flash that tune to your car. use the compare feature and copy what differs even then every car will react different with a tune

If you want to get a basic tune start click my signature. That will walk you though the basic steps. I still use that as a starting point on every LE5 that I tune. It will get you in the right direction but you can taylor the tune to the specific car, this why. Also make sure you have a good config file to log the car with.

Even if we get his stock tune, unless you have the file unlocked you will not be able to save changes and send them to him. We can send value files and reveiw logs. But we can not save any info to his tune with out forking over the cash are selfs or having that model year unlocked. Yes we can help but having his stock tune makes no real differance to me since I can not alter it.
