2.4L head gasket

I just put on my CA v1 header and its pretty sweet, though the stock head gasket is terrible and you can hear the leak for sure. Is there an aftermarket or better gasket out there that can handle this?

Thats your manifold gasket. The new header should have come with a new gasket.

its also important to tighten all the bolts evenly, go around little by little till there all tight, if u tighten one before the other you will have leaks.

hey!! heres a great idea, have your friend rev your engine while you feel around the back of it for 1200+ degree air!! great idea and good diagnosis trick!

dont give stupid ideas out to people who obviously dont know what they're doing.

dont use any sort of permatex for this job, and dont go feeling around your header for air leaks. do it right the first time and go get the right gasket for it. go to your local GM dealer and get it, it will last longer and not leak at all. also consider torque specs when tightening this down.
