So my wife , My buddy and I went to the fair yesterday. So we were walking around and came upon a Chevy display with different cars Malibu, Impala, Vette, and 2 Cobalts. 1 of which was a base model and the other being a SS/TC. SO I go over and check it out. Red tint coat metallic. My buddy opens the door to check it out and sits in it. So i say pop the hood. He does....I open it and just as I do....a small group of people came over to check it out....So these two 16 year old dudes come over and start talking about how the Supercharger is the ****....I overhear this and say its not Supercharged, The kid is like AHhhhh yea it is....I am like no...and point to the new motor that says "TURBO" on it. I said its turbo. The kid is like all SS's are Supercharged, I said no they are not. This is a TURBO, I should know...I own a SS/SC!!! Oh when did the switch to the turbo???? I said this year...I shut the hood and walked away. There some older guy also who was bitching about the lousy gas mileage the Cobalt gets....I didnt even bother.

.... The dude bitching about the gas mileage prolly drives an F-350 Super-Duty or an H2......

I have no idea what dealer it was that brought the cars..... There was also a 2009 Chevy Traverse there too.

Another thing.....when i sat in the SS/TC there was no boost gauge....it was a square monitor with a screen on it.. Does anyone know what i am talking about???

I have never seen one inreal life but it looks like a nice deal.
I'm working on a 2008 SS/TC for a guy that does track days at Watkins Glen.
He will be at the track Momday and Tuesday this week.

 

yeah, not even all SS's are Supercharged or Turbocharged. They fixed it... but there's SS's out there that the SS doesn't mean jack

 

be careful what you say, those 2.4L's with a few bolts on's are pretty quick cars.......the few who have done s/c or t/c conversions on them, from what i hear, they couldn't be happier.
