Depends on what pulled the 290/310, what gears, tires, wheels, 2/4wd, auto, manual. All are needed to calculate parasitic driveline loss.

the kappas have a higher driveline loss than the balts.

Figure at about an 18% loss there and your looking about 355 hp at the crank and 380 tq or so.

Ok.It appears that they(the kappas) are going to get a warrantee at those numbers with a retune package that replaces 2 sensors as well.Basically +30 hp and +50 tq.

Remains to be seen, but seems to be the only clue i can find so far as to what additional power upgrade GM engineers feel won't effect longivity of the engine.I am sure they are being conservative to be willing to warantee it,but i found that tidbit to be interesting.

I know there are other factors as strength of tranny and rear end verse our front axle and tranny to compare too.

Well the opinion of Hahn is that our tranny is stronger then the F23 which has held a lot of power. I think the problems with the tranny`s is due to hard shifting.

FWD Drivetrain loss = ~15%-17%
RWD Drivetrain loss = ~20%-22%
AWD Drivetrain loss = ~25%-30%
