governer on 08-09 ss/tc??
i just bought my 09 cobalt ss/tc about 550 miles ago to be exact and i took it to about 100 yesturday on my way to philly and around 4500-5000 in 4th and it stopped pulling or atleast slowed down dramatically..do the 08-09's have a governer on them or is it just because its so restrictive..and if it is governerd does anyone know if the hahns ppc tuner gets rid of it??

it didnt stop with the speed it just stopped accelerating as fast as it was..the rpms seemed like they just didnt want to move up anymore..thats why i was wondering if we have a governer on them or not..
interesting... that might just be! I believe it says in the manual for the break in... I think 5k rpms and not over 100mph. Plus we know it's not your run of the mill ECU.
I got up to 125 pretty easy. The only reason I stopped was there are cops in that area and some guy in a Corolla decided to see if he could catch me.
He didn't come close but I figured a 2nd car doing 100+ might attract more attention.
yeah i hear you.. me and my buddy were heading to philly to see a movie in IMAX and he decided to squeeze through a couple cars in his wrx without giving me the slightest bit of notice and i ended up having to pass some cars on the right to catch up but as i was catching up i hit around 4500 rpm in fourth and it just stopped accelerating..i was mad as hell because my ss/sc would never do that to me and this cars suposed to be faster..thats why i'm like wtf..i also only had 400 something miles on the car at the time so i dont kno if that had anything to do with it..
