Well so much for the remote starter, its dead or wont start the car anymore, anyone else had this problem happen. When I Lock the doors and press on the remote starter button it just sounds like a relay or something is trying to engage and then nothing it just flashes the front head lights and nothing.

Also the lovely check engine light is up. Otherwise car runs fine and no problems. Some of my friends were telling me there was a big issue with remote starters a few years ago, but didnt think they could just die like that; 1 year after car was bought so one year of usage basically.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to get it up? or is dealer visit my only option? Maybe should i just tell the dealer to yank it out and refund me some monies back cuz i know they are charging me like 2-3 dollars a month on my lease payment for that.

 

Mine did I took it to the dealer and they replaced somthing called a third lamp

i put a remote start on my neon and after 3 years it started doing that crap

 

if you have CEL, the remote start will not engage

yea...thats what happened when i had downpipe installed... and i noticed that
