need oil pan for 05 cobalt 2.2

I need an oil pan for my cobalt. I hit a log on the highway and busted a hole in mine.
Dealership wants 200+ for a new one and 2 week wait time.

Any oil pan from any L61 engine since 2002 will fit. Go for a salvage if you can. Also, the 6 qt oil pans from the LSJ will fit too, it's just bigger.

Any 2.2 cavalier should have it, most 02-05 models I think. Check with any local salvage yard, theres thousands of those cars out there.

Be careful of that place. They have awesome prices, but then rape the **** out of you on the shipping. It's a scam. Crate Engine Depot is very legit.

Yes. A GM parts counter. You can actually just call them with that number and have them punch it into their computer.

As for the LSJ oil pan, yes, you would have to use 6 qts with that.

So would an LSJ oil pan be a nice upgrade. I mean an extra quart wouldn't hurt.

The larger oil pan will help if you are running your engine in such a way where oil cooling is an issue. Like autocrossing or just plain hot environments.
