Logging A/F with wideband and laptop - AUTOMETER 6178?

Those of you that have experience with gauges:

I want to prepare a log of my A/F ratio using a wideband O2 sensor that can connect to a gauge and that can also be connected to a laptop (through the gauge or directly to the laptop).
My first pick would be the Autometer Cobalt series A/F ratio gauge since I already have other Autometer Cobalt series gauges.

Second question: what software should I use to log it (freeware preferably)?

Here are my thoughts:

Gauge: Autometer Cobalt Wideband A/F ratio gauge 6178
Wideband sensor: Bosch (comes with Autometer gauge)
Software: no clue – I need a logging software to prepare graphs
Connection to laptop: I think the Autometer Gauge does it – confirm this for me plz

Just confirm to me that this setup will work plz... I'm trying to come up with something that works
I am also adding an extra sensor, so not replacing the stock one. I would therefore preferably not have to connect it to my ECM, the only connections I am looking forward to are my fuse board and the gauge... Possible?

Thanks guys

I think it has wires to connect to an external "data logger".

What is that?
And what do the wires look like / how do I connect them directly to a computer... so what do I need to buy basically?

Most people on here use HPtuners and it's not cheap or free.
