SS/SC Catback vs. 2.4L OEM

If the SS/SC is 2.5'' tubing, what is the 2.4L's OEM catback diameter?
I'm asking this since I am considering putting the 2.0L catback on my 2.4L for much less $$$

(GMPP is also 2.5''... with a 2.25'' exit)

So i get to pick a used 2.5'' SS/SC for ~$100
or a new 2.5'' GMPP exhaust for ~$600
hum...

The SS/SC and the 2.4L have the same exhaust! They're both 2 1/2".

lsj and le5 have the same exhaust.

the big difference with GMPP exhaust is that its a differnt resenator and muffler and mandreal bent pipe not crimped, thus improving your flow.

gmpp has 2.25" piping and is dyno proven to gain 12whp on a LSJ. The LE5 Has the same stock exhaust as the LSJ which is 2.5". The 2.2L has 2.25 Or smaller Exhaust... Search for the love of god.

Does the GMPP have the same step down and step up, or is just a solid 2 1/4 the whole way thru with gains coming from the Flow being greater.

im to lazy to get under my car and look. all i know is that my GMPP Trouing added(really freed) power in the upper RPM band

Take a look into the muffler of the touring -- the inside diameter is reduced in size -- that's why it isn't as loud as the Performance.....

and almost no gain on a LE5 (about 2 whp).

The GMPP exhaust is 2.5'' tubing with a 2.25'' outlet... it's not 2.25'' all the way

ok ok ok im gonna clear this up.

le5/lsj have the same exhaust

that exhaust is 2.5 after the resenator and necks down to a 2.25 before entering the muffler (right behind the axle)

2.2 i dont know because i dont give a ****.

well thats good

all cat backs will give about the same, the cat back is justa small cog in the big picture, as in Intake,Headers,DP, ect... its all about the sum of the parts, not the sum of one portion

thats just N/A 4 cylinders for ya, no exhaust will really do anything for a LE5 unless its a full exhaust.

for what it costs yeah.

im in mine for only 520 bucks

320 for the header/downpipe new and custom catback for 200

the cat-back really does nothing, i just modded mine to make it quieter do to lack of cat.
