What is the point in the mounts? Are there for better launches? How does it change how the car operates on a daily basis. And how much?

they get rid of wheel hop, so basically only launching and on a daily basis, after they are broken in, your car will have a little bit of vibes in the lower rpms, thats rally it

Shifting will be solid, but man those vibs ******* suck! I took mine out, and enjoyed driving much more without them. Also, they are very hard on the tranny. But SS/TC guys will find that out soon enough...or at least I hope they don't. To the OP, nice car and color!

the vibes are bad at first, but they will be almost non existent when broken in. and then only ******* the engine from a lite or something like that you will feel them other wise they are gone.

It is personal preference really. I have had all three and I like TWM, B&M, and Hurst in that order.

I had 'em in my RSX-S. The only downside was vibrations at idle. Otherwise shifting was frickin SWEET!! No wheelhop whatsoever, and quicker response. That last one is hard to explain.... but there was that little fraction of a second or so that when the engine moved a bit before power was delivered to the wheels. That was gone.

IMO... I wouldn't get 'em unless you think you are going to need them. In my case I had a cracked mount on the RSX so I just upgraded.

They are not harder on the tranny. There have been no issues with the firmer mounts being hard on the tranny. If anything they help the tranny, as the "wheel hop" that you get without the mounts, WILL/CAN break the tranny or axles...

Exactly give the mounts ~1000 miles and you wont hardly notice any more vibs

I am 3000 miles into the mounts now and I still get vibes. They are even worst with the A/C on! The mounts are still the best thing I have done to my car so far! Can't beat the wheel hop elimination that they give you!

I just installed a B&M on an 05 ION REDLINE and the shifts are not as short as on my stock SS/TC shifter.

Takes less than 10 min. to install, if you are worried about warranty (which they wont void) just swap it out for your stock when, when you have service work done...

Avaliable in MANY colors....
