I need a more firm ride... I have 215/35/r18s now on it and its a rough ride.... I know they say a 40 will fit but not so sure on the 245 rating....I need the largest tire I can get to free up some of this nasty wheel gap. I got a bodykit I just fitted the other day and with the kit on it there is no room for the lowering springs I have in the garage. The car will be sittin like 3 inches off the ground at stock level. If I throw the springs on I'll be makin ants duck all the time. Not cool.

Stick with 40's the smaller the number the thinner the tire. This website helps too

you can only go 235 even then that is pretty wide tire for our cars

Stock Tire - 245/40R18
Section Width: 9.64 in 245 mm
Rim Diameter: 18 in 457.2 mm
Rim Width Range: 8 - 9.5 in
Overall Diameter: 25.71 in 653.03 mm
Sidewall Height: 3.85 in 97.79 mm
Radius: 12.85 in 326.39 mm
Circumference: 80.77 in 2051.5 mm

You will need a 18x9.5 to fit 245 and above.
On my car i have 18x7.5

245 will definetly stick out of the fender with aftermarket rims....the nicest flush tire ive seen with afermarket rims is 225 40 18
