Help needed

Ok so 2800 miles on my 08 ss/tc and i was driving on a highway on ramp and the car bucked, then the cel came on, then the dic said reduced engine power and the car shut off. i rolled to the side of the highway and the car would crank but not refire. hit the onstar button they said it was a fuel system failure and that the car would have to be towed. once at the dealer they of corse assumed that i was a dumb ass and ran the car out of fuel. which was not the case so after more checking they found the fuel pump fuse blew. they replace the fuse and the car once again runs...no other problem found...my problem is that i was always told that fuses just dont blow there is always a reason. the dealer didnt feel like looking further into it and just gave me a hand full of fuses and said if it happens again just replace the fuse and bring the car back to them. so if anybody out there has had this happen or if you have any ideas what to look for please let me know...
thank you for reading my rant and for any help you can offer.

Could have been a bad fuse, if it happens again there may be an issue.
