Dynomax Muffler Selection
Dynomax Muffler Selection
Well, as some of you may know. I've been in the midst of project on my car.
My last upgrade ( header down pipe ) gave my 3.5" tipped magnaflow muffler too much flow for my ears sake.
I was referred to try a dynomax muffler to substantially quiet it down.
The muffler I've chosen is
Dynomax Performance 17734 from Summit Racing. Summit Part # WLK-17734
I had already heard of them through a few gentlemen on here, then I got to Summit and they further pointed me to this model.
When I got home out of curiousity I set it under my current muffler.
I saw the outlet on the muffler isn't centered and doesn't look like it will line up to the precut section on the cars bumper.
I figured it was just the right muffler for my application considering it was recommended to me by a Summit Sales rep. Please look at this and let me know hopefully within an hour or so if I should go back adn swap it out for one w/ a center outlet. I dont know if its possible to just bend it over or w/e..
I just want this to be the last time I have to bother the guy who installs this stuff for me.
Thanks!

get a stock muffler from a truck...same pipe size as ur exhaust, and ur set, that will quiet it down tremendously, and the loss in hp is not a noticeable..hell u wont feel it...TRUST ME
LOL why would u buy that JBP vortex if you wanted it quiet? LOL I thought poeple only bought that octopus header for the weird sounds it makes.
Personally, I like my pipes straight, all that curving and bending creates restriction.
I'm curious to see what it sounds like with a respectable muffler Filt sound clips please?

if u go to a custom exaust shop, they will do it no problem. because they put a str8 pipe on the outlet on the muffler and then weld on a tip...thats what they did on mine.. basically if ur muffler doesnt line up with the cut out on the car, let them **** with the piping to make it work.. cuz they can do it.

What the hell... It is a completely tuned equal length mandrel bent header. It is worlds better than the stock ****. It is basically a longtube header but small enough to fit in the oem location.
