Competition vs "ESC OFF"

Assuming (falsely?) that ESC OFF turns off all limiting controls, what controls are still on in Competition Mode? What are the differences?

comp mode itself changes the way traction control works when your using it for launching and no lift shifting, ESC OFF turns off the stability control system and i think traction control and possibly partially ABS.

This is good to know, only because I took the car out the other day in Comp Mode and after chirping second the car pulled throttle on me. I didn't think this would happen in Comp Mode Guess I'll just have to go with ESC OFF from now on.

You'll want to be sure to use ESC OFF if / when you ever throw your car on a dyno. Comp mode still retains stability and traction control, but they won't intervene quite as quickly during "spirited" driving.

i've only had it pull the throttle on me a little bit here and there when i chirp into 2nd, i haven't tried to do it with ESC off yet but i think for noliftshifting your still better off in comp mode.

Comp Mode pulled throttle on me at 5000rpm on the dyno *embarrassed*.

Read it directly from the source, there are much more going on with "comp mode" and "TCS off" -> http://www.gmperformancedivision.com..._SS_Owners.pdf <- see page 9
