okay i have a ccat back 2.25 inch pipes to a str8 through magnaflow muffler..no resonator, and i still want it more aggressive, its really not that loud.....

now just respond if u can help, dont tell me ,"uy shuda got this blah blah".. im just asking for some advice as far as,, eliminating the CAT ? i heard from the exaust shop it might throw CEL's... or should i get new headers, becuz i heard the header is tthe most restrictive part... let me know what my next step is , thanks!

 

no cat will throw codes. youve gotta get it tuned out (fred at smg can do it)
the header i didnt see much of a hp gain maybe 8 at the wheels.
i got a catless downpipe and have a very agressive muffler but the car sounds sooo raspy. its pretty bad. the header will give your car some nice low end grunt sound but make sure you have a cat cause its not worth it to run without if your muffler is that loud to begin with

 

how is that possible... i have heard many 2.2 l61s with many different exhausts.


my personal exhaust is a pacesetter without a resonator and its pretty damn loud.... too loud IMO

if u really want a loud shitty sounding exhaust u can get a bigger DP.... my car has never sounded worse than with that setup.

 

what is the tune going to do for the sound though ?.... do u mean just get it tuned how it is right now, or maybe take off the cat, and then get it tuned by fred ...let me know.

i know i think i heard your car yesterday , it was realy loud but yes raspy too..

 

sorry i forgot it was a 2.2 then youll have to send out for a trifecta? tune and they will get rid of the no cat code

4. No cat on a NA engine less than 6 cyl is rice
5. No cat is illegal
