SO i have 13500 miles on my car and i already need new tires. so i took my car to my dealer and gm is going to pay for my new tire. i very happy now cause i really didnt want to pay for tires this soon. Also i was wondering if any one else was having tire problems on there ss sc?

 

why the hell are they paying for new tires on your car? Did you thrash them? I must admit I don't care for the Pirelli's on the SS/SC but they at least lasted me to 26,000 miles.

I bought new nittos yesterday and have them installed. The best tires I've ever dealt with personally. They grip really nice and hook instantly.

 

i have the pirellis, after 8000 the fronts went bald

 

I believe that they do wear a littler quick for the price of the tire. I have 15,500 mi on my car and the fronts are almost bald ,ofcourse I do drive my car pretty hard. The dealership will not replace a tire that's worn down that is like asking them to replace your brake pads for free...its a disposable item.

 

rotation. every 5k you should rotate them. that is what the manual said and that is what i am doing in order to get optimal performance. with 6k they still look new

 

put 13500 kms on mine before winter and the fronts are gone. These Pirelli's have the worst treadware.

 

I replaced mine with Falken RT615s at 12,000 miles and my stock Pirellis still have 50-60% tread left... What the heck are you guys doin ?

 

i have 9700 miles on mine and my tires are almost to the wear bars..... it is bullshit because i have not done one burnout or anything since i got this car...... im pissed
