SS/TC MPG with PPC and Exhaust
SS/TC MPG with PPC and Exhaust
I just returned from driving 452 miles (included some turnpike, some 4 lane and some 2 lane roads and several small towns) after installing the Hahn PPC, 3" exhaust and Synapse 3" DP. My average speed for the trip was 68 MPH and the HC fuel consumption was 33.2 MPG. What a pleasure to drive this machine. I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming.
Im completely stock with HP Tuners and i drove about 65 miles (south jersey to north jersey) and hit some mild traffic but basically never went over 65 except to feel out the tune for about 3 mins and i got 32.7. The acutal mileage was 84.11 miles door to door
I have had no problems at all. The car runs flawlessly, smooth and powerful. It really is hard to keep my foot out of it. Second gear is almost scary. I would like to get the ATI damper (12% reduction - equates to reducing the HP of the AC and alternator to about 68% of HP used now) and a better clutch with aluminum flywheel. I also want the charge piping.
thanks for the info,
I have seen some guys say you may have an issue with the far less backpressure you now have over the stocker and having too much flow for the new PPC tune to understand.
I guess it may vary from car to car?
Or maybe is has to do with adding an free flowing intake also along with an open exhaust, that causes that issue

It was a tank fill up, then I topped it off when I got home to get the most accurate hand calculation possible. I know that tunes can do wonders for diesels, but I was expecting to lose mileage on a gasser. I was greatly surprised. WHAT A CAR!!!
