(the cobalt) I thought it would be a great idea but I am not sure what all would be needed as far as modifications... if any.....? what do you guys think ? a cobalt turbo DSM?> hmmm.... and what kinda modifications would I need to make? I dont exactly see why it would be a bad Idea , at least 4g can take more of a beating than an LSJ

Yeah okay from that stand point okay but only cause you put it so incredibly well lol...... naw I mean it would be rather silly its just he wants an engine that can take a beating...... I told him to just cryo his **** and get better internals.... I mean we both realize the internals on an L61 are WEAK . but he doesnt wanna pour money into l61 internals just to have it blow again and waste all his cash he wants an engine that comes good for 400-500 hp, he's not pushin that yet but those are his plans.

no the lsj can take a beating, any motor can take a beating, the lsj is on the most reliable engines list. its all in the tuning and putting the rights mods in. half ass WOT tunes. horribly lean up top. these motors cant be can tuned.

Make sure he tunes the motor for the bottle. If he doesn't have it tuned perfectly for that he can kiss the new motor goodbye. It doesn't matter what he puts in there...

well to do the swap you'll need a new engine, a new tranny, probably have to customize all the mounting brackets, completely 100% redo all the computers and wiring, be willing to sacrifice losing things like power windows and power steering, abs, etc.

basically, it's possible, but not worth it for a dd, especially once you realize how many thousands and thousands of dollars it would cost.

this is not a movie where you take any engine, put it in your car, and go out and drive it a few hours later.

DUHHHHHH!

lmao , you are one of my fav members ! you have alot of good advice and allways are cool about your **** , your never a jerk . kudos! anywhoo ! I figured it would be something like that , and cost way too much. he knows more about building engines and whatnot than I do , I just read alot and work at a dealership so I know what I hear or read. I told him LSJ may not be TOO bad , at least that can be really tuned. L61 cant besides a canned tune.

you forgot the part, where once your done. The crank does a nice little walk for you...lol. DSM are awesome, but it would involve way to much work to get it working properly.

well i disagree.
There are PLENTY of 2.2s that are on the bottle un-tuned.
Just gotta not be stupid when you use it and have a window switch and everything

i actually heard it can be a bad thing if you retard the motor for nitrous. Seeing as your using it what 15 seeconds a week.

those are ususally very small shots tho...50 or 75WET shots. and the engine will always hold up better if its tuned for w/e its doing. it doesnt matter ifits even 15 seconds a week.

It would be a waste of time and money.

Don't we all wish it was easy like it is in Forza 2?

Um... Yeah you can bro. Retard the timing so the intake valves are garonteed closed when it is ignited.
