Question for those with tinted tails...
I like the look of tinted tails, but I don't want the dark tinted tails on my black SS/SC. Having never worked with VHT Nightshades before, is it possible to get a decent but lighter finish with it?
I figured as much. My only concern was ending up with them looking uneven, but sandpaper can fix that just as well as it stripped the black paint off my wheels.
yeah, VHT is supposed to go on light coats anyways.
you would need to use around 1200 grit sand paper or something "fine" like that.
If you cant find it a autoparts store, you can check out a body shop. They use those gritts everyday.

Most auto parts stores have 1000 and 2000 grit but it depends on where you live I guess.
Its pretty hard to mess up on what shade you want. I had to put a lot of coats on lol I was putting very light coats on. Each picture is another coat of nightshade added.
Heres non tinted

And heres a pic of a broken experimental taillight i did.

Hope that helps

ya im ordering some nightshade in a few days and doing it within the next month or so. i afraid of doing it tooo dark bc the cops are dicks around here.
let me knw if u think this will look good. Im gunna do the inner lights (trunk) dark possibly leave the reverse light alone. then do the outside edge of the taillights trying to blend it in (not like a solid line)
