nope.... but I did have the only one in SE Michigan for about 2 months.... at least that's what I was told by GM and by my own eyeball experience ....... Now I gather there are many more on the road but to be honest I still only see about 2 others per week... and those two are usually the same two people.....

I got mine in the end of March 05' and I had to fight tooth and nail because it was the only one actually in stock in the state of Michigan at the time that WASN'T a pre-order.

Yeah getting this car was a bitch... I forget the date but I got a call from my friend in lordstown and was told it was being released... well i started calling a bunch of dealerships when I knew the trucks were delivering them.... dude it was damn near impossible to get the ******* car... most dealers only had 2 on the lot at most.... the two colors were always sunburst orange and silver.... i wanted blue w/ no sunroof and side curtains... i also wanted blue inserts but then I seen what happens to colored inserts if the sun gets to them and decided against it........ I then thought I ll get the G85 package haha yeah right that would of taken forever... i am impatient as soon as I found this on the internet I drove straight to Milan and bought it..... the sales woman was like can i help you... i was like yes here is a check i want that car....

I put a $100 security deposit to hold the car and let me tell you, 1/2 hr later the dealership called and asked if I was serious about the purchase because 20 other people called and inquired about it. When I went up there to buy it there had to have been 10 vultures hoovering around my car by the sales office looking at it asking if it was for sale. My mom went with me for good measures at the time and she couldn't believe all the people who wanted to buy the car from me shortly after I bought it. They were like I will buy it for $25k (Car cost $20k). I was like no, car is not for sale. Some dude even went as far as getting my number from the dealership some how and kept calling me asking me If I like the car and if I was going to sell it.. I was like dude quit ******* call me. Car is NOT for sale.

No more showed up in stock that I know of in Michigan until the end of summer. Only pre-orders.. I would know, I checked often.

it's good to be in the club of rareness , I see sedans and coupes all the time now but once in a GREAT while, (when I mean great I mean like once a month or better) I see an SS/SC unless I go to a meet. Someone in my complex actually has a 06 Red SS/SC (I drive a red 05) and had parked next to me one day, I was so confused. It was day light out and I couldn't even tell which car was which until I seen his GM badge (06 models) on the side and I was like dumb ass this isn't your car It was hard to tell cause I couldn't see the lights flicker with the FOB.

Dunno, I'm wondering the build numbers also. No one knows yet. This topic has been brought up a few times now. I also had a hard time getting my SS/SC. I snagged the last 05 arrival blue SS/SC within 1,500 miles.... according to their computer. And that was back in September of 05.

I've started a couple threads on this and never got any answers. I emailed a contact on Chevy's website and this is what I got back from them:
Thank you for contacting the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. I appreciate you taking the time to write us in regards to your 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt and the production number concerns.

I apologize, but the production numbers will not be available till the second quarter of next year. The vehicle is still in production and you could not tell by the vehicle identification number (vin) how many were produced.
I know the tag inside my driver's door says 02/05, and production supposedly officially began on the 16th of Feb. (based on several threads posted on here by "insiders" at the time). So I would definately like to know what build number mine is, not that this will be a collector's item, but only to satisfy my curiosity.

Edit: I was told by my dealer that this was the first SS/SC in Florida. I looked it up on Chevy's website and there was only 1 other listed in West Palm. I bought mine on April 1st (easy to remember, although probably bad luck). What was funny was that I did some work at a Chevy dealership in Orlando sometime around July, asked the manager there how well the SS/SC's were selling, and she told me that they hadn't started building them yet...
