Inner wheel well coming off...

Hey guys.. this is only my 2nd post. I just got an 06 Cobalt SS/SC G85.. black 2 fridays ago.

Anyways, this car was driven by the dealerships owner for 5000kms so I got a spectacular deal on it. While washing the car a couple days ago I noticed that on the passenger side wheel well the plastic covering appears to be bent and actually bent enough to interfere with the wheel turning to the right.. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if you think it would be covered under warranty. Im hoping the dealer doesnt give me some bullshit that it was because of build up snow or something....

Thanks guys!

Yea I think its kind of like that... I didnt get a chance to get a real good look @ it. I will check er out tomorrow. I think it might even be part of the black plastic in there (hard to tell since mine is actually black... haha) I dont have any of the needed tools to complete that job .. I was hoping they would fix it under warranty or something... Thanks for the quick reply tho!

it'll probably be a warranty issue.... take it in and tell them to fix it

Gypsy08,

I'm sorry to read that your inner wheel well is coming off. I can check your warranty parameters for you if you would like to get me the last 8 digits of your VIN.

All the best,
Sarah

Simple fix. I'm on 235/40r18 and my solution was a simple zip tie. If you look at the side skirt end you can see a hole where its bending from the tire hitting it. Thread the zip tie through it and secure it. A picture would help but this is the best I can do. Mine has been zip tied for 3 years now with no issues.
