Has anyone attempted to put on a 16" wheel on the back of the SS/TC?

So your planning on running 16's in the rear and 18's in the front?

Its going to be hard to run anything smaller up front due to our huge ass Brembos........Just Keep your stockers on and get you set of aftermarket wheels what will clear the brembos.........

At least 17" are needed up front... SS/NA wheels work (spaced 3 mm if you care at all about your car)

17 for the front 16 if possible in the back. I was hoping if steelies will work. Can someone possiblity measure the 16 Steelies up for me, if you got a set. Im looking for the depth from the center to the rear lip. I tried 15" steelies in the rear wont clear the brake calipers, it was about 1" 1/2 short.

I could have sworn somebody fit 15" wheels on their SS/SC....
16" should definitely fit though

The rear brakes on the TC are nearly the same saize as the fronts on the SC. I havent tried it, but dont know why a 16 wouldnt fit on back. Why wouldnt you just run 17s all the way around, much better idea

Yeah....Get a nice set of cheap 17"s that you don't care much about, throw you some winter tires on and go from there\

Just make sure you give those brembos enough chicken feed

Make sure you get similar looking wheels cuz if not, you'll be the talk of the town for a while.

I'd be worried about the car's feel 'though. It's better to have the same diameter and width front and back.

By doing that (ie : 205) you'll have to have more rubber on the sidewalls of the back tires to compensate because of the 16er's height. It will make for a more sluggish back end.

Furthermore, you're not going to save that much money by putting 16ers in the back... So why go through all that trouble ?

You could seriously mess up your ride using different wheel sizes. Your car's suspension was designed a certain way to be safe and handle well with wheels and tires that are the same size at all four corners of the car. Changing this can cause a lot of undesired things to happen. Using different wheel/tire sizes will change the understeer/oversteer balance of your car causing a change in handling that may be unsafe, not to mention that your wheels/tires/car will look terrible. You really need to have the same size tires and wheels at all four corners of the car for your safety and the safety of others and you can't put a price on that.
