Wheel cleaning

When I wash my car once a week, I spray on Black Magic wheel cleaner and when Im done clean them up with microfiber towels. I want to take a day and pull the wheels off one by one and detail them.

What would be a good cleaner to use? I have a bottle of Mother's Chrome Polish and some terry towels. Good idea or is there something better out there to use?

This is the best up close picture I have of the wheels.

eww no not mothers I would use meguiars if anything. Usually I just use elbow grease and a brush it works better then any product you can buy in my opinion but I have the stock 18's my ss/sc came with so I can use a buffer as well.

Hmm...is there harm to the chrome polish? I used it before on my Lexus' wheels and it worked out fine. I just would hate to mess these rims up.
