lsj alternator bracket ?????

guys do you need the lsj alternator BRACKET for the m62 swap on the 2.4l ????

if so anyone got a part #?

no but im pretty sure ur alt spins both ways

i kno my l61 alt does but the LSJ is a one way which is why they have to switch to ours when they do turbo swaps ect.

also it runs at a slightly different voltage.

so

wht im saying is, i think u can use urs.

hmm i hope your right bro, i wonder if anyone knows for sure cause i think i remember reading somewhere that the pulley tensioner mounts partially on the bracket to the lsj alternator .....hmm so pictures would be useful

i heard the lsj alternator is recommended thats what i got on my 2.4

Been a while since I hashed this out but yes you should be able to use your 2.2/2.4 alternator. Yes a bracket for the tensioner bolts onto the LSJ alternator bracket though. Another thing is the wiring harness for the LSJ and LE5/L61 are not compatible iirc (I might be wrong on this part).
