Hey i just got an ARK shorty antenna for my 08 SS and it doesnt seem like its gonna fit. I was on there site and it says 2007-on All Models uses the the 7mm so thats what I ordered. Now when I unscrewed the stock antenna theres a 7mm male end and the new antenna has a 7mm male end?!?! Did i do something wrong? On their site it shows pics of their antenna with a female end....

 

they probably sent you the wrong one

 

My 08 LS has the 7mm male and the shorty I ordered had the female so I agree that it looks like a shipping error.

 

lol dood break off the end from the antenna and drill it out for 7mm, u gots access to a drill press and tap/die set? I had to do that for mine cause i was cheep and didn't want to buy another Ark shorty so i took the one off my last car and modified it to fit the balt, worked perfectly, just gotta paint it from all the tool marks but that'll be **** easy to do.

 

yea they just got back to me actually and said it was. just wanted to make sure it wasnt my stupidity.

hahaha yea i think id kinda rather just send it back and have them send me a new one lol otherwise i think id be doing that.

 

this happened to me excatly like that but since mine was an early model they sent me and addapter for it so it fits now

 

he just didnt want to pay the shipping to canada

 

you can have them send you an adapter, bc you shouldn't pay to ship it back to them

 

reception is terrible for that lil antenna i had to put my stock one back on to get any kind of radio reception... sucks though cause the ark antenna looked sweet... i guess if i ever give up on radio i'll go back to it, i would have figured for 39 bucks it would have at least had descent signal.
