I got this '09 problem....Looky Looky...someone played hookey?

So I've been driving for about 500ish miles and feeling kinda down as my shifter feels like a soaked meat log....

...every-time I put it in a gear, it always feels different every-time....never consistent really pisses me off...

...I bring this up to TurboSS, and we met up to compare shifters...he immediately notices and asks me "am I in gear?"...I was like, no....as we were both idling in the cold.

Long story>short we open up the cup holder and check out the linkage for the shifter cable.....and I **** YOU NOT.....on the shifter cable linkage bracket the ******* didn't put a nut over the bushing on the left BOLT and on the Right BOLT they put too small of a bushing so the nut went right through the bracket hole.....

>>>>I HAVE A FACTORY FREE FLOATING SHIFTER LINKAGE BRACKET......****!

>>>>MY SHIFTER LOOK LIKE ITS IN 4TH GEAR, BUT ITS IN NEUTRAL....

...for those who don't know or remeber.....THEY FORGOT TO PUT MY SS BADGE ON THE DASH TOO!!!

My dealer is taking car of everything nicely but it pisses me off to think what else the DOLTS forgot......I luv the car but ****!!!!

SO WORD TO THE WISE>>>> You better check everything obviously and never be too cautious.....lord knows i was worrying constantly at how shitty my shifter felt....and after finally feeling the '08 shifter on TurboSS's car I can finally rest as PEACE a little, knowing thats what mine will be like soon...

SEE horrific pictures below.....THE PARTS HAVE NEVER BEEN TOUCHED>

4TH GEAR "NEUTRAL"

LOOKING THROUGH CUP HOLDER AT THE BRACKET

LEFT SIDE, NO NUT

mine was missing the nut on the left, there was just a stud facing up. was impossible to get into 5th gear cause the whole plate that holds the cables would move with the shifter

it's ok man, my right cable wasn't snapped in properly and i went to shift 3rd/4th noliftshift and it wouldn't stay in 4th, i snapped it back in and bingo, fixed without needing warranty.
