Ok here's the deal.
Just purchased an 06' SS/SC with 6,000 miles. It still has a year of factory warranty left. I want to get to 250 hp.
What would you all suggest?
GM stage kits? because of the warranty? It seems like asking 10 different stage kit owners, you get 10 different answers on reliability, and I do not want to sacrifice reliability at this point.
I guess i would just like to have a few more usable ponies under the hood!

searchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Seriously, I can't tell you how many times I've seen this asked since I've joined. But I'll point you in the right direction. Over The Top performance has some good stuff, go for an exhaust, intake, and stage two and you should be good for awhile.

id say get the ottp stage 1 kit, but you will void your powertrain warrenty. so with that in mind, your best bet is gm stage 2, it puts you at 241whp (according to gm). throw a cold air intake on, header (i recomend the clear image mid length) downpipe and cat back exhaust and itll be very close to 250.
Hey bro. You really should use the search function, but I am feeling nice this morning so I will help you out. Your first step is to go to www.ottperformance.com and order there stage 1 kit. There stage 1 kit is better then ANY other stage kit out there. It comes with BIGGER injectors, 60lbers, instead of the 42lbers in gm stage 2, and it has the injector harness with it. Also in the package is a really really nice tune compared to the crappy gm stage 2 extremely rich tune. My favorite is the shiny 2.8inch pulley, much better then a 3inch. Through all of that on there and you will easily meet your goals.
I also recommend putting in a cold air intake, not only for the power, but the sound too. After that I would go with a full exhaust. Take my opinion on the full exhaust, you want to go 3inch. If you are going for big power, go 3inch. If you only want 250ish meh ya go 2.5inch but if you want closer to 300whp for your goal, go 3inch.
All of those mods should put you near 280whp, hence thats where I am at off the nitrous. However there is one thing you need to know about these cars, they heat soak really bad so cooling mods are a must! I recommend the cxracing heat exchanger, methanol injection, and the dual pass end plate. This will help a lot if you like hitting boost. The methanol injection will cool the air coming into the motor, its the best cooling mod of all.
Other then that, you are pretty much set. One of the most important mods in my personal opinion though is an interceptor gauge. This is a gauge that will monitor knock retard, intake air temps, scan your codes, clear your codes, and many many other things. I generally leave it on KR and IAT2's because those are the most important things to read at all times. To much knock and goodbye motor, to high of iat2's and goodbye number 4 piston.
I hope this helps you bro! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
