Question VHT smoked look?

I just ordered a can today. When it gets here how many coats should I do for a smoked look? Don't want to take a chance getting pulled over with full black out.

[/SIZE]two coats should give it a smoked look. But like mentioned above, as you spray you will see the progress of it.

*TIP* Spray EVEN coats on EACH light.

Do NOT overspray. This will cause run off's of the paint and it will create more work and possibly screw up your lights. This also applies for your clear coats.

Take your time and be patient! Learn from my mistakes. lol

Yeah, I think the VHT can says wait around 15 minutes.

Just make sure you do it on a level dry place that is well lit.

What I did was to see everything, I did it outside where the wind wasnt blowing but the sun was visible. Then when I was done spraying, I moved the lights in my box that I had and put them in the garage. Just to be safe not let any thing to fall on the lights like dust.

I got a screened in back patio which is perfect :P How many days you think it will take? I got a e-mail from VHt saying that

"These packages can sometimes take longer than most other mail because the
item inside is a chemical/paint, and cannot travel on an air plane like
most other mail does. This package can only travel via truck & train to
its destination." :/ boo

we'll find out when it gets here going to take a week or so (slow ass postal service!)

Like everyone said before I'm going let each coat fully dry then decide if I want it darker..I'm guessing I'm going use probably 3-5coats + clear

and of course I'm going to do them both at same time :P was planing on it (on top of matching results it saves allot time)
