Want to quiet down exhaust.

I did a search, I promise...lol.

Had to replacethe flex in my factory down pipe. We cut off the cat and replaced the flex.... Holy Hell.....LOUD...lol.
I still have the factory resinator in place, a Magnaflow muffler with 2.5" over axel and the factory exhaust tip.

Should I swap out the muffler for something else or is there any other suggestions because I am too old and it is too loud..

Yep, thinking about putting the cat back in.

Well I should have said that I want to be catless as not to conform to the epa's wishes... I am such a rebel.
Actually because I am poor and this was a "quick" fix...not the coerrect fix.

agreed! I put a 20" or a 24" resonator back in my exhasut because it was too loud and now it is great...

Check this out... You can get the idea of it.. The quality of the microphone is not the best, but you can tell the "blat" and a little bit how loud it was taken out when I installed the resonator. Cruising is the best difference.

Use a muffler as a resonator like I did.

Thanks guys...sounds like a larger resinator is going to have to be the first try.
I hope it helps because it is just plain OBNOXIOUS....lol.

I would recommend using a resonator AND the muffler if you are not going to have a downpipe that has a highflow cat. I am using a glasspack 36inch resonator on my 3inch exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. It sounds absolutely amazing. It takes ALL of the rasp away on higher rpm's and just purs on the lower rpm's. Hope this helps.

I was wondering if any of the resinators you all speak of are directional, or in other words, do they fit one way or the other? Thanks for the input.
