does the oil pan from a lsj fit a l61? also what are the diffrences between all the oil pans available for the l61? i seen 2 on ebay, photoshop;d them next to each other and the outside bolts line up, but one has 2 threaded holes in the middle, on gmparts direct it shows the 2.2/2.4 use the same one, and for some reaon the lsj one is cheaper


and heres a pic i put together of 2 ebay listng oil pans, they are both labeld for the 2.2

look closely they all match up on the outer bolt, now wtf is those center ones for? also does anyone have a pic of a actual cobalt 2.2 oil pan, not just one labeld for the 2.2

 

im not sure so dont quote me on this but i remember reading (in becks supercharger how-to thread I THINK) that you can use the lsj oil pan on a 2.4 so possibly it would work on a 2.2l. refer to that thread for details.

 

yeah i recall reading they are interchangeable, but searching for it, is hell, way to much crap comes up, so i though it better to make a thread and hope someone answers

 

they should be interchangeable. I have no idea what the extra holes are for, but there is probably an oil pan for the 2.2 in the old cavi's and a oil pan for the 2.2 in the newer throttle by wire ecotecs. thats just a guess, but it makes sense to me

 

k ima double check what mine looks like later, but ill most likely get thelsj for the extra oil
