Those of you with HAHN intercooler piping..

I know the 08-09 SS models dont have one, but i was able to get the SS blanket from a friend. However i was wondering if anyone did and does it rub on the piping?? I really like all the HAHN products however it looks alittle taller than Synapses' piping. If you guys/girls have a hood blanket could you take some pics for me or try to of how close the blanket is to the piping or if it does indeed rub. Thanks

Also, what size are the clamps for the HAHN piping??

Bump

blanket WONT fit

I HAVE YOUR ANSWER!!!!! I've got the piping AND the intake piping....the charge piping is definately higher so no worries with the intake as there is easily 1 1/2" or more between the intake and the hood when completely closed.
BUT...I JUST went out and looked at it as I barely closed the hood but could not tell for sure how much room there was. So....I placed some pliers on top of the rubber coupler that sits at the highest point on the charge piping....(which is right near the middle of the car near the firewall...check my gallery for pics) and the hood would clearly NOT close...I carefully pushed down on it and it would not press closed. I came back in the house and measured the wrench and it is right at .6 inches in height layed down. Considering that there was less than that amount needed to close and that that blanket is easily that thick or more and might hang a little....PRETTY SURE IT"S A NO GO! :P

Hope this helped!

Hey, could you try something thinner? I am considering the Hahn charge piping, but I am afraid of the components rubbing. I am curious as to how much clearance there is...

Go get some PLAYDOUGH and use that to check how much gap you have.
Or make your own.

or use aluminum foil. ball it up, close the hood, and measure.
