traction mods?

Hey guys looking for suggestion on keeping traction dragbags, traction bars or better tires. Im looking for something i can keep on the car and be street friendly. Not looking for drag radials. Let me hear youre opinions if you have used any on theses and what you used thanks.

tractions bars, torque dampner (although I hear is messes with the tranny), and a strut would be a good start

i've been told the torque dampener doesnt really do a whole lot. if you dont mind a few extra vibes get some prothane tranny mount bushings. cheap and effective and the car can still be driven comfortably. better tires will obviously help, as its the only thing that actually touches the pavement.

Rotated mounts from Over the Top performance. Gets rid of all wheel hop.

Hundreds of people have screwed around with traction bars and torque dampeners. Those are really just band aids for the real problem. The geometry on these cars is off and the rotated mounts fix this issue. Don't waste your money on anything else.

Then go with the obvious. Bigger wider tires.

Well i would go for the rotated mounts if i didnt already have the inserts and engine mount. Luckily i dont have hop just spin im thinking tires might be my best bet. But i didnt know if traction bars would help im also wondering if lowering it would do any good. Thanks keep the info coming guys.

Also, you could go with spring rubbers or drag bags. But those change your ride quality as well.

No the reviews so most of the vibes are gone.

i'm in the process of getting 27/11.5/15 d.o.t. radials to work. maybe you could use those with rotated lnf mounts, dss axles, and launch control

there will be VERY LITTLE IF ANY vibrations with the rotated mounts. people have vibs because they have stiff poly inserts and the solid engine mounts. you can use the stock inserts w/ rotated mounts and be perfectly fine

they can be solid...if you want them to be. but theres no need for it. you can also use poly inserts along with being rotated...but again, no need.

I don't have rotated mounts. I've got poly but rotated mounts and "the geometry of the drive train being messed up" didn't exist when I bought them. so I run poly trans mounts, eibach sportlines, a progress rear sway bar, dc strut bar, poly CAB's, ingals tq dampener (which I don't think does anything), and better tires. I recently also purchased some koni's and I think that's gong to be just fine. I can drive very quickly down any of the really twisty country roads in my town without the koni's and I'm very satisfied with the setup. I'm willing to bet that the rotated mount is better than stock but I need to get back in tounch with my car before I can tell for sure.. also if the drive train is out of whack as much as they're saying the steering rack pacers will help too.

are you just looking for drag racing reasons or cornering? it's almost impossible to get the best of both worlds.

Did youre sportlines help with traction at all. I also heard alot about the poly cabs but heard they dont last long. Any info on either of these as far as traction.

i heard if you know how to drive you don't need traction mods...

just busting your ***** man.

like others have said there is only so much you can do, mounts and wider rubber would be your best bet. everything else are just minor addition to wheel spin...

seriously though, if your having massive wheel spin then you gotta learn to feather the throttle a little better instead of just stomping on it...

dont get that polyurethane or w.e get the solid steel mounts. be a man and deal with the vibration... only thing that can ever break is the bolt. and thats a 1 dollar replacement.
