Just Released - Exedy, The OEM Supplier to the Cobalt, has released a Stage 1 - Organic Performance Clutch for the LS and LT model Chevy Cobalt!

Perhaps they are also working on a 2.0L

Why dont you do a search for SAAB Clutches as the engine is a SAAB..

Saabs use ecotech engines...they helped develop the engines so they would be dumb to not utilize the technology. Our engine is as close as you can get to a saab engine internally. The Saab 9-3 2.0T just has a turbo instead of a supercharger (biggest major difference) as well as a few other minor differences.

here it is.....

Chris,

As Bernie mentioned, we will have Hyper Single (Stage 3) set up this Summer.
It comes with one piece lightweight chrome-moly flywheel, high torque capacity
sprung center 6-pac disc and forged aluminum cover with Nodular iron pressure
plate.

It will handle 320lbs-ft@ crank for drag, 540lbs-ft for circuit. This number is
after consideration of safety factor such as shock torque input by acceleration,
dumping the clutch in such.

As for the Time attack Cobalt GM built, they beat Evo, Impreza, NSX, GTR and
other cars at right after the SEMA last year. (November 2005).

If you have any question, just let us know.
Also if you register your info @ "www.exedyusa.com", we will send you
information such as new product release.

Best regards,
Kevin Fujioka

i heard they changed a lot of the internals...... could be wrong...... fairly sure the saab's 2.0 has a different compression ratio, and also a little more power.....

Just got this back from ACT:

Hello,

We currently do not offer any clutches for the Cobalt SS. We are
researching the parts now and have no E.T.A. for if and when the
products will be available. If you have any other questions, please feel
free to contact me.

Regards,

Richard Barzaghi
Customer Service/Sponsorships
........ no luck yet, but they should come up with something.... i would personally get something from them before anyone else....

2.0T has 210 HP @ 5500RPM and 221 ft/lbs @ 2500RPM at the crank.

0-60 = 7.7 sec

Compression ratios are the same as the SS/SC @ 9.5:1

Bore x Stroke are the same @ 3.39 x 3.39 (both engines are "square" engines)
