may be a dumb question

but my cel light is on..i installed a cold air intake and was advised that maybe tuning the maf sensor would make the cel go out...is this true?

what exactly would it be doing?

The tuning would be recalibrating the MAF sensor for the added air.

^ yes, try that.

If the light still comes on, check for leaks and also make sure your sensor was put back in correctly. Make sure everything is tightly fitted. Then repeat with the disconnect of the battery for 20-30mins. Good luck.

with check engine light you only have to unplug your battery for 5 minutes. It will erase with in that time. or just go somewhere and have someone read it.
