uhm i believe its 1 7/8.

i would just try and pick up an ss/sc exhaust though bro. for the same price or a little more youll actually get a gain out of it.

You dont want just a muffler, The stock piping is SMALL, Like said above at least get a ss/sc catback and put a muffler on it

I put the SS/SC catback on mine. The pipe diameter is a bit bigger. LOL but i got mine for like 45 shipped with ss/sc springs from a guy that just wanted them gone. I sold just the springs for 60 and used the 15 extra from that to get the pipe welded where it was cut, so mine was pretty much free.

I wanna say the ss/sc exhaust is 2.25in, and the LS is 2in someone correct me if i'm wrong

ok so you have plans to mod then. the exhaust on the ls is to small to see your gains with i/im/h/dp thats if you plan on doing all of them. just save your money and buy a catback or run straight pipe youll be much happier if you wait and do it correctly.

im not trying to bust your chops, its just the truth bro

thats a good size to go with, but go no bigger then 2.5 inch piping unless you plan on f/i in the future

yeah that sounds like the best idea... save up some cash and go with a full exhaust system ex. header, downpipe, catback. That will give you the best results

the only exhausts you cant get are the ss.tc because its a 3 bolt pattern then you will need to modify them. any other exhaust will be fine

you sure can... any of the 2.2, 2.4, and 2.0 catbacks are interchangeable. you could also use the header and dp from ss/sc as well

and about the the three bolt on the ss/tc, I thought that the gmpp would work with it so wouldn't it be the same as the ss/sc and the rest of them

make sure when you hear the clip you know all mods done to the car or it will sound different on yours being your basically stock. unless it says its a stock car in the clip.

that is doable thats a decent range. theres a member on here selling his corsa used for 450. its like 800 bucks new. just something you could look into

you could get a tsudo exhaust system I wanna say like 230 or so shipped, you could also look through the parts threads and find pretty good deals on used exhaust systems.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...1%7C240%3A1318

there are plenty sound clips for that exhaust on youtube

I'm gonna putting the tsudo on my car soon. I've heard mostly good things about it, and I mean hell its just an exhaust.... to me it looks just like the megan cat back with a smaller diamter outlet, but a cheaper price

I run pretty much run open pipes(resonator delete, exhaust dumps on rear axles) most the time i drive,
I started off just changing the muffler but over time, you want more done to car to suit your style, depends on the driver. change you muffler and see how you like it.

I'd suggest the GM Performance Exhaust.. With a high flow cat. Thats my plan for a setup on my LT.
