rattling hood

rattling hood

hey anyone elses hood rattle when at idle? i mean i cant hear it from the inside but if im outside of the car i can. just wondering if this is a problem that others are having.

dude thats probably not your hood its probably your charging pipes same thing happened to me but when i popped the hood the braket on the charging pipe next to the ac line was broke

yea but when i put a little pressure on the hood the rattling noise stops...

Had the same thing happen on my hhr ss. dont know how it started but it went away. and those stock charge pipes are garbage. Im waiting on my dejon pipes

Hey were in chicago you stay at loland my hood rattles at times doesn't latch in place properly I think its a bit loose not too much its a bit noticeble lol

I haven't looked... but when you open the hood. I am guessing there are two rubber stops. One near the fender on the driver and passenger side.

I believe you can turn them left (CounterClock wise) to raise them a bit. You will only need just a little. Then that should end your rattling.

I did that on my RSX-S when I put in stiff motor mounts.
