Is that the CAI that did the damage...whats the proof....and why you had not just take it off before going on the warranty??

Yes i have, my air filter fell off, and i didnt know it because it was in the fenderwell, and i noticed that my car was running crappy, and sure enough it was the air filter. So i put it back on really good, but now my intake or SC (not sure which one) makes a weirs sucking noise like it is sucking up rocks. It really does sound that bad. But its wierd because it only does it when my car is cold, but after it warms up, it doesnt do it.

A guy at my work destroyed an engine because of his CAI. He went through a puddle, and I guess enough water got to the filter to hydro lock the engine. I would suggest a AEM Air-Bypass Valve in addition to the CAI.

I have heard of people blowing motors because it sucks in water, just dont drive through big puddles and you will be alright.

True.

But at night flying along, the puddles are unavoidable sometimes cause they are not seen till it's too late. Just the chance ya take tho.
