Clutch slip

Has anybody else seen this video out there?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgsd0VOSXXw

Its a dyno test by Jannetty Racing after installing a 3" turbo back exhaust.

They apparently got 288hp and 317lb-ft of tq. According to the guy in the video the torque curve shows that the clutch was slipping around 317lb-ft. Anybody with tunes making similar power levels having any problems with their clutch?

Just curious, I keep hearing conflicting info. about the stock clutch.

The car in the video sounds pretty sweet though.

I love when i see people standing infront of a car on the dyno. If that dyno happens to lock up it could get ugly.

I was planning on getting the same tune, but that kind of makes me rethink it. Maybe I dont need to be going with that much power for my DD right now. Are you planning on getting a better clutch?

I have heard the SPEC 2+ is a very good clutch for our cars. So I will probably get that

I'm pushing over 400whp and NO clutch slip yet

Same with boostking, close to 400 and no probs. We are both putting SPEC 3+ into our cars.

Guys don't forget what i posted in another thread i went to order the SPEC stage 2+ clutch and oppppssss they failed to mention tell last moment that you need a new flywheel, sounds like they were lazy and used the supercharged cobalt clutch but just made a different flywheel to match kinda pointless, over 1300 dollars is way overpriced

I noticed some small amount of slippage in joe's car with the KO4+ @ 360wtrq.
I had to plot it on the dynograph. (rpm vs mph) to see it.

ff_ace your numbers are a little high i think those are STD corrected numbers but it slips only if you do a low rpm punch but anything above 3000 it doesnt slip and in like first and second it doesnt slip not usualy 3rd but in 4th and 5th if i am below 3000 and punch it it slips for like .3 seconds

Mine has never slipped at all. The tires usually break loose really bad though through 1st and 2nd. I imagine if I punched it it 4th gear at >3000RPM it might slip, but I dont ever do that. Look at synapse turbo their car has 384 wtrq and morgan daily drives the car and he said the clutch has never slipped even at over 400 engine torque.
