need help with snow tire size !!!

ok just got the 17" cobalt rims in for my TC

after having ws-50's on my maxima last 2 winters, i really love the blizzaks

problem =

only studdless snow available in 205/50/17 is the mich xice xi2 and they only have 2 right now...

they do have general altimax arctic, ws60, pirelli winter carving, in 225/45/17....
how much more sidewall will this create? i dont want to create an unsafe feel on dry roads.

thanks

Narrower tires are going to be better in the snow. They dig in and grip better.

That is correct and also the more sidewall the better!
