I just need some straight-up answers...

I got some noob questions for y'all.

(I have searched for second question and have seen conflicting answers and never seen anything conclusive.)

1. Do the SS/NA and SS/SC have the same suspension, stock?

2. Will sportlines lead to fucked up struts significantly sooner than would normally happen?(I know **** wears out whether you mod it or not throughout the years.) I have read that you can't get the Cobalt down to be near the blowing point of the struts, but IDK.

3. Can you still go most places (smallnspeed bumps and stuff) with sportlines installed?

(2 and 3rd questions refer to SS/NA, if it has a different suspension.)

1) no, different suspensions. SS/NA is FE3 and SS/SC is FE5
2) as long as you dont bottom out a lot, no...so it depends on how you drive on them
3) yes, but steep grade changes (like parking lot entrances) should be taken at an angle

I dont know what the sportline's drop height is but mine is dropped 2"F 2.5"R and my exhaust scrapes over most speed bumps. It is the part right infront of the rear tires where it has two 90* bends. I also have a Tsudo exhaust which dropped my pipes about an inch or so. When I rock my stock steelies it is only 2.5" off the ground.

Thats why I don't get sportlines. I live in pothole city or just shitty roads with many high near bottom out entrances even on angles and I have scrapes to prove it. I should take pictures of some of these entrances it would blow you guy's minds how bad some are. I seen sparks fly off a SUV once and those are high!

Btw jersey drivers should be before new york on the worst drivers.... I demand a recount! Even if some here are still lowered and they live in the states with the worst roads I just rather not risk the damage, and also the whole blowing struts issue as well. Not worth the hassle for me. I do enough damage stock lowered

There are a couple bad roads here in the winter. Frost heaves are the problem for the most part. They will take a perfect road and put a huge speed bump in them in the winter, but for the most part they are marked. Im on the stock ls suspension and ive scraped the airdam on some of the frost heaves so when you drive around at any height you really have to watch out for road conditions so you dont f up your body, especially lowered.
