Quick answer, Big difference!

240hp vs 270hp

And a better tune with some room to grow

Yea... And I think I was a little nice with the stage 2 numbers.

Plus stage 2 tune sucks.

Go with the OTT kit, There is no comparison

I'll break it down for you.

GMS2 = 42.5's 3.?? pulley, and tune that varies between flashes (after seeing different st2 dynos idk wtf's going on).
OTTP = 60's, 2.8, tune by people who know their stuff as far as im concerned.

OTTP gives you the 60's which means you have more chance to grow with other supporting mods, whereas the GMS2 gives you the 42's so once again, you'll have to later upgrade to 60's or bigger if you want more power. that said, i'll be getting an ottp tune once i get all my other mods in place.

on a side note, I wouldn't take much about how the car runs from someone who hasn't actually got it yet (no offense car guy).

Most people praise it and OTT says it gives better HP, with bigger injectors and a smaller pulley and better tune. Its all about what you want.

Me being a DD and want my warranty (im not too mechanically inclined) I go for the GMSTG2. If you know what your doing, want more power and at a cheaper price, then OTT is the way to go.

Yeah there is really no other reason to go GM stage 2 anymore except for warranty. Problem is, there is still a chance you will be accused of abuse if anything breaks.

Go for OTT Stage 1.

yea i understand the warranty issues, but gm is in a shithole right now, idk how long my warranty would be valid for. plus i dont think any1 blew a motor yet with ottp.

i wonder why they call it stage 1? could they be making a stage 2 from ottp? hmmm....

the stage 2 GM tune is very well thought out, good tune indeed with all the protections you need. No doubt the OTTP tune is more aggressive, more power, but for what you want and need you have made a good choice. later when warranty is over there will be time for you to go to Josh at OTTP and have at it...

Go ott, you can install urself in less then 2 hrs just need basic tools and pulley puller. I installed bout mth ago and its awesome. And like pyro said even with gm2 you can be accused of abuse and they will beat around covering warranty. OTT FTW!

yeah, everyone is different and what they want to risk. Like I said if you know what your doing then OTT stage kit is the way to go.

I for one never changed fuel injectors...dont know how...and dealership is 40 miles away Id have to drive to get the tune done...dont have the tools for the pulley.

GM's is more of a convenience for me.

I havn't got it yet. But its on the plate...that or an exhaust...not sure which, though exhaust seems much more expensive.

expensive, but once it's done it's done, nothing more to do to it, and it'll help with any future power you want to put into it, i'm doing exhaust after i do all my cooling mods, stock right now. better to have the supporting and then put in the power than to have the power and no supports.
