Autocross 2/7/09
Here is a video of me at the autocross this weekend. I only got one run because I broke the allowable db level. I had nothing with me to quiet down my exhaust...
But here is it....

You broke the db level on THAT run? Seemed pretty tame to me. That's got to suck.
I just wish I could run around here in Feb. We are only now getting enough pavement clear to consider it, but we won't actually autocross till late April.

There is really no excuse if you fail to pass db, those are one of those non-negotiable rules which makes having an event on someone else's property possible. If the formula cars in modify class and the shifter kart can pass, then I am sure you can make your car pass too if you wanted to.
I have the Corsa sport cat back and Clear image header & downpipe with no cat. I think it was a combo for supercharger noise, exhaust noise and wind. I can quiet it down but it was my first time autocrossing in 10 years and really had no idea that I had a chance of being louder than acceptable.

EDIT: And yes that's become a big issue lately. 4-5 seasons ago when I first started it was fine. Now not so much.

Just wondering.
There are guidelines regarding sound level requirements depends on where the event is located. Obviously it will be different if the event is on a runway where zoning already dictates how close other properties and the use of those properties can be located to the airport, than let say if the event is at a empty parking lot in a university with dormitories close by.
